Glen Pollard was born in 1957 in Haida Gwaii, British Columbia, formerly known as the Queen Charlotte Islands, and currently resides in Skidegate which is located on the southeast coast of Graham Island, the largest island in the archipelago.
Glen is brother to Shirley Longboat and has been carving for over 30 years. He is a self-taught carver who works primarily in argillite and makes poles, pendants and other sculpture. Glen is noted for his inlay work. His contemporary pieces use simple motifs and are finely executed with elegant form lines.
