    Description

For sale is a Northwest Coast native carved and painted bentwood cedar box .
    It is signed “Troy Bellerose”.
The steam bentwood  box is one of the most amazing creations of the Northwest Coast People.  It is made by kerfing and steambending a single plank of wood to form four sides.
The design of this box employs Northwest Coast art components in the form of ovoids and split Us.
    This handmade box is 5" H X 4 1/2" W X 4 1/2 " D and in very excellent condition.
It is signed by the artist Troy Bellerose (1970-). Troy works with wood and is known for his bentwood boxes.  This box has Troy`s signature unusual lids and this is one of his earlier forms circa 2009.
